Hard-hitting, fast skating, and a collection of bruises.
Does that sound nice to you? Good! Then join our open training where we teach you how to rollerskate, derby style!
But don't you worry! We start with beginner rollerskating drills and build towards more derby-style skating skills. Joining the open month is free, gear rent during the open month is €5,- for the whole month.
ALL LEVELS OF SKATERS (16+) are welcome, YES, you too!
We usually have an open month in March and October - if you couldn't make it to the one in March 2026, follow our social media for the latest updates for information on the next open month, or sign up for our Invite list!
Sign up to become a member during the open month.
Ask our secreatary after the training or send an email to sign up. After the open month you will then join our Fresh Meat program in trainings twice a week. On a monthly basis we will evaluate your progress and when you reached the level of advanced fresh meat, you may also join parts of team practices. After mastering all fresh meat skills and playing your first scrim, you'll join the Aces and become a team skater.
For skaters interested in transferring from another roller derby league, send us a message.
Membership fee for skaters is €32,50 / month. You can continue renting gear during the first couple of months at €5,- / month.
If you have any financial concerns regarding the membership, don't hesitate to contact our treasurer.
Does Roller Derby sound awesome to you? You want to join this community and be a part of games, but can’t or don’t want to join a team? The Parliament of Pain is always recruiting officials!
If you do want to skate, you can join as an aspiring referee.
These are the skating officials. In order to referee roller derby games, you need to master a certain skill set. Skating skills, but also the rules and how to see and call penalties, award points, etc. Our Ministry of Officials will gladly help you find your way in this! Aspiring referees can join twice a year during the FRESH MEAT PROGRAM.
We are always looking for Non-Skating Officials (NSO’s).
These are the people in and around the track making sure the game runs smoothly, penalties are being noted and enforced, and tracking the score. You can join as an NSO at any moment! We will teach you all you need to know. All you need is eNSOthusiasm and a willingness to use pencil and paper and/or a stopwatch.
It is a great way to be involved in the Roller Derby community without skating. If you want to become a referee but still need to wait a few months for a fresh meat program, consider joining as an NSO so you can start learning about the game and the rules straight away! The Parliament of Pain hosts 1 training game per month and usually a competition event every other month.
If you have any questions about officiating with The Parliament of Pain, please don't hesitate to contact the Ministry of officials.
Roller Derby is a sport that is fully dependent on volunteers, and all help is greatly appreciated. Besides refereeing, there is always a need for volunteers in other postions: track repair crew, medics, photographers and many more. Besides hosting games, the league could als use help in other functions that come with running a sports league.
